Tendency Micro has identified an insidious new type of Mac malware that’s propagated by injecting itself into Xcode tasks before they’re compiled as apps.

We’ve seen an identical strike before. The so-called “XCode Ghost” was the malware-infested version of Apple’s programmer environment that has been distributed beyond Apple’s stations. Apps built utilizing the software program were preinstalled with malware.
