Week that it’ll soon begin scanning pictures uploaded to iCloud for child sexual abuse materials apple announced last. Privacy and cybersecurity experts fulfilled the announcement with skepticism, with many pointing out potential abuse of the operational system. Specifically, experts state this encryption backdoor could encourage oppressive governments to request Apple to police other styles of illegal content. Apple states it shall refuse such requests from governments. Still, this change, that will get to iOS 15, marks a shift in the business’s online privacy policy.
