AI-powered transcription firm  Otter.ai ‘s Otter Assistant, a tool that may join calendared video meetings on a user’s behalf automatically, expanded its reach beyond Zoom this week . It works together with Microsoft Teams now, Google Meet and Cisco Webex.

Open to Otter.ai Business users, the tool was created to make video meetings more productive because participants can concentrate on what’s actually being said instead of taking notes. If participants late are, or have to step away, the generated transcript keeps them from missing important info automatically, the company said.
